In Euro Millions Lottery you choose 5 numbers and 2 stars. The Euro Millions draw is a combination draw involving 5 balls drawn from 50 and 2 balls drawn from 12 (termed 'Lucky Stars'). 5 balls and the 2 lucky stars must be found to claim the jackpot.

I play in EuroMillion. My prize are superior to my bets on one year: I get 1.25€ on average for 1€ betted (the others players earn 0.50€ on average for 1€ betted).

How I do it ? First, some precisions: it's useless to study the frequency of each number drawn. A number which hasn't drawn often will not have more opportunities to be drawn than other numbers on the next draw. All combinations are the same opportunities to be drawn (1 opportunity on 75.000.000). The opportunity have not memory!

How to increase its prize ? Europeans play often some combinations and some numbers (13,...). In each draw the prize are distributed between the winners. So you get more money if you play a combination never or rarely played.

For example:

on 6th February 2009: 5 numbers and 1 star allow to earn 101.873 €

on 29th February 2008: 5 numbers and 1 star allow to earn 3.027.516 €

You can see that you can get 10 times more money if you play some combinations ! Nevertheless you need to find these combinations...

The summary on the European lottery's study: I unloaded the file of all combinations drawn since the beginning. Then I incorporated the data prize and the number of winners in each draw. My program has analyzed the 70 million combinations: each combination is compared with the combinations drawn; and even if this combination studied is never drawn we can deduce by extrapolation how many players had bet on this combination.
